Accessibility statement
Clean Hands is for people who are still learning English, so we want it to be as easy to use as possible.
This statement covers cleanhands.org.uk and the flyers on it.
What we do
- We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
- We use plain language, big text and pictures, and a font designed to be easy to read.
- Colours have strong contrast, and nothing relies on colour alone.
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard. The yellow highlight shows where you are.
- Every page works on a phone, and you can zoom to 400% without losing content.
- Each language page is marked with its language, so screen readers read it correctly. Urdu reads right to left.
What we know isn't perfect yet
- Our translations are drafts until a native speaker has checked them.
- The allergens flyer is only in English for now.
- The PDF downloads are copies of the web flyers. If a PDF doesn't work with your screen reader, use the web version of the same flyer.
Tell us about a problem
If something doesn't work for you, or you need a flyer in another format such as large print, email support@cleanhands.org.uk. We'll reply within 5 working days.
